Make perfect Hard Boiled Eggs in your Pressure Cooker!
Plug in your Pressure cooker and place the colander inside of the pressure cooker. You need to get the eggs up above the bottom of the Instant pot so for this reason, a colander is key.
Add 1/2 a cup of water to the bottom of the instant pot. (Or the minimum amount required in the instructions manual of your pressure cooker).
Place your eggs in the colander being sure to not stack them on top of each other. Give them space.
Put the lid on the pressure cooker and make sure it locks in place. Set the timer on your pressure cooker and press start. I usually cook my eggs for about 8 minutes for hard boiled.
Soft Boiled Eggs : 3-4 minutes
Medium Boiled Eggs: 5-7 Minutes
Hard Boiled Eggs: 8-9 minutes.
Meanwhile fill a bowl of water and ice and set aside.
When The Pressure cooker timer goes off, use the manual release valve and remove the eggs. Place the eggs in the ice water bath and let them rest for about 2 minutes. By placing the eggs in an ice bath they will be much easier to peel cleanly.
Peel your eggs by first tapping on the top and bottom of the egg against the table. Crack the eggs first in these places because usually there is an air pocket there.
That's it! Enjoy your delicious portable low carb snack!
